Drupal 8 End of Life In Less Than Two Months' Time!

Drupal Association released a Press Service Announcement (PSA) on 29th June 2021, stating Drupal 8 End of Life (EOL) to be on November 2nd, 2021. Suggestion by the Association for these applications using Drupal 8 is to upgrade to Drupal 9.2 version. Drupal 9.1 version is not a recommendation because Drupal 9.1’s security coverage is also ending soon: Right after that of Drupal 8.

EOL date of Drupal 8 is based on that of Symfony 3’s End of Life. Symfony has notified that there will not be any more security fixes in the Symfony 3.4 release after November of 2021.
