Job Description:

• Translate and realize business requirements– constructing technical concepts and designs based on industry standard best practices and techniques
• Develop modules, integrations and themes – analyzing and recommending community contributed modules to be used as baseline (if deemed necessary). Write custom code (PHP, JavaScript), theme and module development, module updates, identifying and resolving bugs
• Develop new code and/or provide maintenance and enhancements to existing code based upon a solid understanding of technical design
• Works with other Drupal team members on the development of website(s) and web applications
• Estimate and deliver on development tasks with high level of accuracy in an agile environment
• Validate and review Code developed by other developers and deploy to higher environments
• Closely work with the Product Owner and Creative Lead to analyze and understand the clients requirements
• Work with the Architects and developers on the project to ensure the product being developed is of a high quality, factoring in maintainability, performance and scalability
• Define and disseminate Drupal best practices
• Be abreast with latest/greatest developments to the Drupal framework and contributed modules
• Mentor, guide and support other junior team members
• Identify issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
• Proactively identify, research, and solve technical challenges. Contribute to the Innovation ideas for the project

Qualifications:

• As a Drupal - Senior Associate you are desired to have a 6-8 years of relevant experience in Developing and Leading modules/tracks in Drupal Projects for Enterprise clients.
• Good understanding of Drupal 7, 8, & 9. Acquia Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Drupal Hosting Solutions like Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, AWS Cloud, Platform.
• Experience in leading a team of at least 2-3 software engineers is preferred
• Experience in driving design (technical and non-technical) decisions for modules developed.
• Experience of working in a multi-discipline(User Experience, Site Developers, Drupal Developers, QA, etc.) environment is preferred
• Must have an understanding/experience in Drupal architecture, module design, configuration management, content type design, fundamentals around hooks, core APIs and Frameworks
• Able to write secure code following Drupal coding standards and security guidelines
• Understanding of Twig templating engine and ability to create themes leveraging popular contributed themes like Bootstrap
• Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
• Understanding of OOTB caching concepts/features, Solr Search integrations, Cron Jobs, Distributions (e.g. Lightning)
• Well versed with Linux operating system and commands
• Ability to override the community/core modules features with hooks implementation
• Experience in working with GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
