JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical duties as a developer in the PHP and Drupal 9 and 10 technology areas. 2
  • Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Test and install the software updates.
  • Maintain and follow SOPs, configuration management, upgrades and availability.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to detail all steps and activities carried out for all aspects of the program data management.
  • Maintains and follow SOP and basic knowledge of usability Section 508 compliancy
  • Plan, build and maintain applications to meet end users need.
  • Work closely with the Senior OpDev Specialist PHP Drupal; maintain and monitor applications, databases, or software tools; implement improvements to operations; test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Coordinate activities with third parties such as NIEHS System Administration and networking with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 3
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new or major revisions to applications, databases, or software tools; implement improvements to development activities to speed development of applications, databases, or software tools.
  • Serve as a Drupal (9 and higher) developer for NTPs public websites, including NTPs main website https:ntp.niehs.nih.gov, NTP Update newsletter, NTP Annual Report, ICCVAM Biennial Report. 1
  • Work products and documents related to performing technical duties in PHP/ Drupal technology areas such as roadmaps, schedules, status reports, plans, and recommendations. - Weekly
  • Work products and documents related to maintaining and following SOPs, performing configuration management, upgrades, and availability. - Weekly
  • Work products and documents related to assisting with developing requirements, applications, databases, or software tools - Weekly
  • Upon request by due dates provided, the contractor shall provide detailed documentation evidence of any and/or all work product, including, but not limited to, the following tasks: Providing examples of Work products; Providing written documentation with details of work performed in the ticketing system – currently JIRA. Writing or updating SOPs for use by other team members. - Ad-Hoc

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  • Seven (7) years of experience.
  • Skilled in Javascript, Drupal, Lando, Drush, Cloudflare, Adobe DC, and HTML
  • Strong knowledge of PHP programming language.
  • Technical developer duties Drupal 9 and 10.
  • Experienced in database management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
