Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Analyze user requirements, determine technical level of effort estimates, prepare technical design and specifications

Advise and assist other analysts in area of specialized knowledge, test and review work of others

Analyze, modify and maintain existing applications; recommend alternative solutions, as appropriate

Develop, test and implement technical solutions; prepare application test plans and conduct unit, integration and system testing

Monitor project scheduling and all project tracking control systems

Prepare technical, operational and user related documentation in support of applications

Provide technical support to functional users, determining and solving systems and programming issues; coordinate communications with vendors when appropriate for problem resolution

Conduct informal and formal end user training

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six (6) or more years of job-related experience with leadership and higher education experience preferred.
Preferred skills include:
- Application security methodologies and service-oriented architecture;
- Working knowledge of and experience in building website information architectures, managing websites using content management systems (Drupal 10, WordPress, etc.),
- Understanding of usability guidelines and accessibility compliance (Section 508);
- Experience with software development lifecycle;
- Experience with responsive design and project management.
- May require applicable computer skills including standards-based XHTML and CSS coding;
- Extensive experience with PHP and Javascript;
- Working knowledge of Symfony Framework;
- Experience with databases such as MySQL or Oracle;
- Experience with UNIX terminal, SSH, and Apache configurations;
- Experience with Drupal 10, MuleSoft, Salesforce;
- Experience with RedHat Linux 8 and above;
- Familiarity with LAMP stack and experience with open-source projects.
SKILLS
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires advanced expertise in application of query language, web development tools, procedural development tools, relational databases, structured programming and understanding of the software development life cycle. Also required are skills in providing technical work direction.
