JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Drupal Developer reports to the Assistant Director of Brand and Marketing, Editor, Client.edu, taking charge of web development and maintenance for the university's primary website.
  • The candidate will utilize their advanced programming skills and comprehensive technical knowledge to craft and implement Drupal-based solutions.
  • The role requires involvement in various technical projects, including Drupal migrations, with responsibility for contributing to and documenting technical proceedings.
  • Key duties, constituting 70% of the role, include overseeing the technical maintenance and management of UCM websites and the Client Core Component Library (RCCL).
  • The candidate will ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of Drupal CMS based websites, whilst meeting accessibility requirements.
  • The role involves designing and executing Drupal-based solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing technical frameworks.
  • The Drupal Developer will also execute regular maintenance duties, managing potential risks and conduction testing activities.
  • Additional duties involve staff and platform management, constituting 25% of the role. This includes supervising the development team, implementing performance metrics, and managing the web ticketing system.
  • It is necessary for the candidate to ensure that all projects meet business and system requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related technological field plus seven years related experience.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS (SASS), and the Twig and PHP coding languages is essential to the role.
  • The role requires a full-stack website development background, coupled with experience in code version control and custom Drupal solutions design.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, experience managing staff, and proficiency in Google Analytics and other analytics platforms.
