JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist in Website Development and Maintenance Support the development and maintenance of Drupal-based websites, ensuring they are functional, user-friendly, and up-to-date.
  • Content Management Help manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia as well as code review, and releasing new functionality, using the Drupal CMS.
  • Learning and Development Participate in training sessions and workshops to gain a deeper understanding of Drupal and other CMS platforms, as well as best practices in web development.
  • Collaboration with Teams Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to implement new features and improvements on the website.
  • Documentation Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for website features, updates, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • A self-starter and creative thinker and passionate about web technologies and their potential to move organizations forward.
  • Combining technical skills in web development and architectural skills on and around web technologies with business acumen and curiosity to craft solutions that enable transformative web capabilities within Takeda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Understanding the fundamentals of web development languages to help with front-end tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) Basic knowledge of how CMS platforms work, particularly Drupal, would be advantageous. Exposure to at least Wordpress or Joomla.
  • PHP Basics Foundational understanding of PHP, programming structures will be crucial for backend development.
  • Database Management Basic knowledge of SQL and database management such as MariaDB or MySQL
  • Version Control Systems Familiarity with version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
  • Responsive Design Principles Understanding the basics of responsive design to ensure websites are mobile-friendly. Exposure to collaborative interface design tools such as Figma
  • Problem-Solving Skills Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues as they arise, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • GitHub Understanding the basics of Git for version control, including cloning repositories, committing changes, branching, merging, pull requests and code reviews.
  • Linux Basic skills in navigating and using the Linux command line, basic shell scripting and the ability to set up and manage a local development environment on a Linux system.
  • Team Player Work with virtual/agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture, and communication styles
