JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Basic Theming Concepts: The candidate should understand the basic concepts of theming in Drupal, including how themes work, what template files are, and how to override default templates
  • Template Files: The candidate should know how to create and modify template files
  • Theme Functions: The candidate should be familiar with theme functions, which are PHP functions used to generate HTML markup for various parts of the site. Understanding how to modify or override these functions is important for theming
  • CSS and Styling: The candidate should have a grasp of CSS and how to use it to style different elements of the site. This includes understanding CSS classes and IDs output by Drupal, and how to target and modify them
  • Responsive Design: Basic knowledge of making themes responsive is valuable, so that the website looks good and functions well across different screen sizes and devices
  • Theme Configuration: The candidate should know how to configure theme settings through the Drupal admin interface. This might include options for logo, favicon, color schemes, and other theme-related settings
  • Theme Contribution: It would be beneficial if the candidate had an understanding of how to contribute to existing themes (e.g., through sub-themes) or creating custom themes from scratch
  • Theming Best Practices: The candidate should be aware of theming best practices, including keeping templates and theme files organized, using version control, and following coding standards
  • Integration with Modules: The candidate should understand how themes interact with Drupal modules, as some modules might provide additional theming features or require specific theme integration
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: The candidate should have the ability to debug and troubleshoot theme-related issues is crucial. This could involve identifying template suggestions, resolving layout problems, and pinpointing CSS conflicts

Requirements:

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN and able to obtain a clearance
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
