Analyzes advancement website requirements, developing technical specifications and creating plans for the design of new features and functionality. Creates integrations between and among sites and platforms.
Leads complex projects that require multiple areas of expertise: designs, develops, implements, writes code, tests, debugs, and documents graphical user interfaces to enhance the UX/UI for the Alumni Association’s various technologies and platforms.
Using Pantheon to develop Drupal modules, upgrades current Drupal core system and troubleshoots customized Drupal modules.
Improves the existing UI on Association web applications by reviewing, analyzing and making modifications for a higher UX standard.
Leads project teams, establishes and monitors project plans and schedules for complex and cross-departmental web initiatives.
Assists Java developers with Java web applications as appropriate. Reviews work of team members to ensure quality standards are met.
Assists with upgrade, maintenance and new software installations on the web servers.
Serves on cross-functional teams providing advanced technical expertise and UI/UX enhancement advice to web site stakeholders.
Stays current on latest technology trends through research and evaluation of a variety of tools. Leverages features of existing tools to address a variety of business needs; recommends new tools and technology by providing sound research and proof of concept prior to the adoption of new technology.
Demonstrates an understanding of the value of creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Actively supports and engages in creating and sustaining a workplace that fosters creativity and innovation.

Qualifications
Minimum of seven years of relevant programming experience.
Knowledge of web content management systems including Drupal; expertise with Drupal responsive theme customization.
Familiarity with Pantheon to manage Drupal instances.
Experience in user interface responsive design required.
Experience in object-oriented PHP(5), HTML/CSS, and Ajax development.
Experience in developing and debugging JavaScript code.
Familiarity with source control systems GitHub and SVN.
Familiarity with Oracle databases and MySQL.
Experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration functions including monitoring, backups, and software installation.
Knowledge of best practices pertaining to secure application development in the above-noted environments.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and communicate effectively with technologists and project owners regarding goals and objectives.
Adapts to changing deadlines, new technologies, and presents technical information in a clear and cohesive manner.
Ability to build rapport with users, communicate effectively with nontechnical users, understand the business and culture, and translate business requirements into solutions to meet immediate and foresee future needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a diverse service-oriented environment.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality and commitment to quality.
Experience with Spring Web model-view-controller (MVC) frameworks a plus.
Experience with structured testing procedures, such as JUnit a plus.
