JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design, develop, and maintain Drupal websites, focusing on front and backend functionality to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and developers, to translate client requirements into functional websites.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using best practices in web development.
  • Develop and implement web-based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and related technologies.
  • Optimize websites for performance, security, and accessibility, adhering to WCAG standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website performance, security, and usability issues as they arise.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for all web projects.
  • Maintain and manage version control systems using Git to ensure project consistency and team collaboration.
  • Integrate APIs and web services (REST, SOAP) to enable data exchange between platforms.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in Drupal development, including custom modules, theming, and site-building.
    • Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML, CSS (including CSS3, Sass), JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
    • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
    • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Gulp) and package managers (e.g., NPM, Composer).
    • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in web development.
    • Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
  • UI/UX Design & Compatibility:
    • Expertise in responsive web design and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
    • Understanding of Web User Interface Design (UI) and creating user-friendly navigation.
    • Experience with multimedia content development and integration.
  • Web Services & APIs:
    • Experience working with Web Services, including REST and SOAP APIs.
    • Ability to design and implement API-based features and services for web projects.
  • Accessibility & Compliance:
    • Knowledge of WCAG standards and experience creating accessible web experiences.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with colleagues across different disciplines.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interaction with team members and clients.
    • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e-commerce website development and integrating payment gateways.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design principles and frameworks.
  • Experience with multimedia and interactive content development.
  • Exposure to cloud-based deployment or hosting environments.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development, with a focus on Drupal.
