JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Drupal, PHP, Agile Development, and SOA/Microservice architecture.
  • Architect, design, develop, and implement next-generation web application using software engineering best practices in the latest technologies:
  • Content Management System (Drupal, WordPress)
  • PHP
  • Custom API development using Drupal
  • Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and Acquia- Drupal Hosting Solution
  • Provide software expertise in one or more of these areas: PHP application integration, Drupal, service-oriented architectures (SOA), security, business process management/business rules processing, module integration, user experience (UX) and accessibility (Section 508/WCAG/USDS Web Standards)
  • Senior Level experience in development and maintenance of multiple enterprise websites using CMS like Drupal.
  • Strong experience with HTML/CSS & JavaScript
  • Experience with CDN and Acquia- Drupal Hosting Solution
  • Investigate and repair application defects regardless of component: front-end, business logic, middleware, or database (PL/SQL and Data Modeling).
  • Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience
  • All other duties as assigned or directed.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
  • 10+ years of combined experience with modern software development using Drupal and PHP
  • 10+ years of combined experience of web development and building responsive UIs with modern front-end technologies.
  • 10+ years of combined experience with Content Management Systems (Drupal, WordPress)
  • Solid understanding of modern PHP frameworks (Drupal, Laravel, Symfony, Zend).
  • Basic knowledge of PHP's type system (typed properties and union types).
  • Basic experience with concurrent programming (pthreads, pcntl, ReactPHP).
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, and Oracle), SQL, and ORM technologies (RedBeanPHP, Doctrine, and Eloquent).
  • Solid experience with automated unit testing, TDD, BDD, and associated technologies (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Mockito, Behat / Cucumber, Selenium, and Karma/Jasmine).
  • Development experience with building responsive UIs with modern front-end technologies such as React, or Angular.
  • Solid knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, Modern JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, and CSS).
  • Basic understanding of DevOps and tools (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube).
  • Experience with API development & monitoring tools (Ready API, Swagger, Splunk, Dynatrace)
  • Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • Preferred experience with AWS cloud technologies or other cloud platforms; AWS cloud certifications.
  • Delivery (CI/CD) best practices and use of DevOps to accelerate quality releases to Production.
  • Preferred experience integrating / establishing advanced search capabilities (AWS Kendra).
  • Basic understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns.
