JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collaborate with Web Admin and Unix Admin teams to migrate web content from legacy, end-of-life servers to current, pre-configured RHEL 8 web servers.
  • Manage and migrate server environments to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8), including updating applications and modules.
  • Perform server-side web development using PHP within a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
  • Build, maintain, and optimize websites using Drupal CMS, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Execute both front-end and back-end web development tasks to support dynamic web applications.
  • Ensure adherence to web security best practices and implement protection against vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
  • Apply government compliance standards and adapt development work to meet organization-specific web style guides and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support web operations and IT initiatives.

Requirements

  • Drupal Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience specializing in building and maintaining Drupal-based websites.
  • RHEL Experience: 4–7 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x and content migration to RHEL 8.
  • Web Development Proficiency: 4–7 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development using PHP and Drupal.
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Web Admins, Unix Admins, and IT personnel.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of OWASP standards, secure coding practices, and familiarity with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
  • Compliance Awareness: Experience working under government regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Standards Alignment: Comfortable working with established web style guides and standards.

Experience

  • Drupal Development: Skilled in PHP and Drupal CMS, with a focus on server-side programming and custom module development.
  • Content Migration: Extensive experience in migrating web content and environments from legacy systems to RHEL 8.
  • Environment Management: Proven success in managing and updating Linux-based environments, particularly RHEL.
  • LAMP Stack Development: Proficient in developing web applications using the LAMP stack.
  • Security Best Practices: Track record of implementing secure development techniques to mitigate common web vulnerabilities.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Experienced in collaborating with IT infrastructure and administrative teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Compliance & Standards: Strong familiarity with government IT regulations and corporate web standards.
