JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Drupal 9+ websites featuring blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, and collaborative tools.
  • Write secure and scalable APIs using PHP for integration with institutional data sources.
  • Create high-quality front-end and back-end code using PHP, HTML, DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Build and maintain standards-compliant Drupal themes based on creative designs and established style guides.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server-side products and perform system administration tasks.
  • Integrate various data sources into Drupal sites by developing and implementing appropriate APIs.
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain hosting environments using Pantheon.
  • Ensure all web solutions are functional, scalable, and aligned with technical specifications and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Drupal 9 or higher, with a solid understanding of Drupal architecture, modules, components, views, themes, and templates.
  • Strong development skills in PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and DHTML.
  • Experience in producing responsive, standards-compliant Drupal themes and custom modules.
  • Competence in integrating third-party systems and institutional data marts via custom APIs.
  • Experience with server administration and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with managed hosting environments, particularly Pantheon.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and translate technical specifications into functional web solutions.

Experience

  • 7–9 years of professional experience in web design and development using Drupal 9+.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining Drupal websites with interactive features (e.g., blogs, podcasts, RSS, collaboration tools).
  • Proven track record of developing custom Drupal modules and APIs to support integration needs.
  • Hands-on experience with Pantheon for managed hosting of Drupal websites.
  • Experience in systems administration, including installation and maintenance of server-side software and products.
  • History of working with creative teams to convert designs into pixel-perfect Drupal themes.
  • Experience developing secure, scalable, and maintainable web solutions using modern coding best practices.
