JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Participate in all phases, including scope estimation, architecture, design, coding, unit testing, and deployment.
  • Work closely with federal employees and contractors in a DevOps environment to deliver high-quality, scalable, and real-time systems.
  • Contribute significantly (at least 75%) to issue triage, design, development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Engage in Agile development methodologies, utilizing tools like JIRA for project management.
  • Apply web development best practices concerning security, accessibility, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Drupal 9/10, PHP 7/8, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Experience with responsive and adaptive design techniques.
    • Strong understanding of web security and accessibility standards.
    • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
    • Experience building and consuming APIs.
  • Agile & DevOps:
    • Experience supporting Agile projects using tools like JIRA.
    • Knowledge of DevOps frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Additional Technical Skills (Preferred):
    • Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Solr, Angular, Spring/Spring Boot, Java, Hibernate, JPA, MongoDB or PostgreSQL, Jetty, Microservices, OpenShift, Gradle, Maven, Ant, JUnit, Bitbucket, Cucumber, SonarQube, Jenkins, CloudWatch, Confluence, and Eclipse.
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or possess an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).

Preferred Experiences

  • Experience with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects and customer support within government agencies.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and methodologies.
  • AWS expertise and certifications are a plus.
