JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform operations, maintenance, and development of federal public-facing websites using Drupal
  • Utilize digital service techniques to identify and solve core user needs
  • Develop and regularly update a functional website on the Drupal platform
  • Lead Drupal upgrades and migrations
  • Design and architect Drupal systems
  • Develop and implement custom Drupal modules
  • Resolve issues and troubleshoot application problems
  • Carry out operations and maintenance tasks
  • Ensure website uptime, security, and performance
  • Patch Drupal core and manage cloud environments (Acquia and/or AWS)
  • Implement responsive design and front-end theming
  • Deploy applications in a Linux environment
  • Utilize configuration management tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Document business cases and project scope
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field)
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Drupal Developer (preferred)
    • Agile Scrum certification (preferred)
  • Clearance:
    • Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance with the U.S. government

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of Drupal development experience, including:
    • Custom module and theme development
    • Drupal 10 development
    • Drupal upgrades and migrations
  • Full-stack development including strong front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design)
  • Experience with:
    • Agile Scrum methodology
    • Leading development efforts in team environments
    • Microsoft SQL or MySQL
    • Acquia Cloud (Site Factory, Search, Dev Desktop)
    • Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes
    • Configuration management tools
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Angular and/or ReactJS
    • SiteImprove and SOLR integration
    • CDN technologies (e.g., Akamai)
    • Issue/change management tools like JIRA
  • Strong competencies in:
    • Technical communication and presentation
    • Time management and task prioritization
    • Analytical and research capabilities
    • Team collaboration
