JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop custom Drupal modules using Hooks, Plugin system, Form API, and Entity API.
Implement REST / JSON:API / GraphQL endpoints for data exchange.
Create and customize Drupal themes using Twig and preprocess functions.
Configure user roles and access control to manage permissions.
Apply best practices to secure Drupal applications against vulnerabilities.
Integrate Drupal with external APIs and third-party systems.
(Preferred) Set up and maintain Rocket.Chat or other messaging tool integrations.
(Preferred) Work with Solr or Elasticsearch integration within Drupal to enhance search capabilities.

Requirements

Strong Drupal development background: custom modules, Hooks, Plugins, forms, and entities.
Hands-on experience with REST / JSON:API and GraphQL in a Drupal context.
Proficiency in Drupal theming—Twig templating and preprocess functions.
Deep understanding of Drupal’s permission model and role-based access control.
Familiarity with security measures and best practices for Drupal sites.
Proven experience integrating third-party APIs with Drupal.

Experience (Preferred)

Implemented Rocket.Chat integration using Drupal modules and APIs
Configured Solr or Elasticsearch for Drupal using Search API or similar modules
Developed custom forms with AJAX callbacks and validation via Form API hooks
Extended entities using Entity API for custom functionality .
Experience with API-first approaches, consuming and exposing REST/GraphQL in Drupal.
