Drupal Developer Job at Beacon Systems, Inc (BeaconGov)

• Serve as the primary Drupal and WordPress administrator for the agency’s website.
• Perform highly complex computer systems analysis and web application development.
• Develop web and browser-based applications using modern programming tools and techniques.
• Perform logical database management for agency web applications.
• Create and maintain technical and security documentation for all web applications and systems.
• Provide training and guidance to agency staff on in-house web applications.
• Participate in cross-agency workgroups to implement web page templates and enterprise-wide standards.
• Work under limited supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in:
  • Computer science
  • Information systems
  • Or related field (preferred)
• Recent industry certifications related to:
  • Programming
  • Web development (preferred)
• Knowledge of:
  • System development methodologies
  • Programming concepts
  • Computer hardware, operating systems, and development environments
  • Cross-site scripting (XSS) and SQL injection security issues

Experience

• PHP development within the LAMP or LEMP stack for application development and maintenance (required)
• CMS-based website development, including:
  • Custom themes and modules
  • Tools, workflows, and enterprise-scale web systems
• HTML and CSS following current web standards (required)
• jQuery for front-end development (required)
• MySQL database design and development (required)
• Development experience in frameworks and extensions such as:
  • Laravel
  • Django
  • Symfony
• Drupal administration and management (required)
• WordPress administration and management (required)
• Drupal administration tools, including Drush (preferred)
• Responsive website development (preferred)
• AJAX techniques for asynchronous web applications (preferred)
• Python within LAMP or LEMP stack (preferred)
• Implementation and management of search systems (e.g., Drupal Search, Solr) (preferred)
• Proficient with JavaScript, Ruby, and Java (preferred)
• Linux operating system and CLI (required)
• Use of ticketing systems such as:
  • Remedy
  • KACE (preferred)
