JOB DESCRIPTION

Arrow Alliance Industries is currently seeking highly qualified applicants interested in joining our team of professionals to provide support to the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).

The BIE provides support for the education of Native American Indian children in grades K-12 throughout 183 BIE-managed and Tribally-controlled schools, and two Native American colleges. The Strategic Transformation of Education Plan (STEP) is an initiative to provide support and resources for students, teachers, and BIE-managed and Tribally-controlled schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing end-to-end, cross-discipline support of the website in conjunction with eLMS project.
  • Support the implementation, publishing, and distribution of website and content administration and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop creative and unique content for SharePoint and websites.
  • Manage technical and back-end administration for SharePoint.
  • Improve existing web pages and create new web page content to communicate the customer's messages and themes.
  • Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
  • Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  • Comply with the Rehabilitation Act (Section 508) in all deliverables.
  • Develop and validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
  • Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
  • Content migration from other web platforms to Drupal platform.
  • Instruct others on website updates and management that have a wide range of computer expertise.

Required Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in web design.
  • Experience as both a self-starter working independently while working within a team to meet requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Experience working with highly-visible “federal” web operations (highly desirable).
  • Expertise with federal accessibility mandates.
  • Expertise in Drupal, SharePoint, SchoolinSites, and like web platforms.
  • Expert in Drupal (highly desirable)
  • Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Proficient in My SQL
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
  • Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
  • High degree of independent judgment.
  • Able to solve complex problems.
