A webinar on Penn State News: Pivoting to Decoupled Drupal with Gatsby will be held on 12th January 2022 by Tim Lehen, Mark Shropshire, and Jim Nourse. They will provide an inside look at how Gatsby and Drupal were used to create a digital storytelling platform to scale throughout Penn State. 

Tim Lehen, Chief Technology Officer at Drupal Association, Mark Shropshire, Senior Director of Development at Mediacurrent, and Jim Nourse, Director, Web Product and Brand Platform at Penn State University, will help understand how two best-of-class open-source software tools pushed decoupled architecture to new performance standards. 

The webinar would offer key lessons on how a university could leverage Drupal to build a modern, future-proof digital platform. It will offer insights into how a decoupled Drupal architecture was able to scale to unprecedented levels and empower editors effortlessly and seamlessly to publish content. The webinar would also include discussions on how Penn State improved optimization and web accessibility standards and improvements to both Gatsby and Drupal while building one of the world's largest decoupled Drupal/Gatsby websites.
