Gutenberg with Drupal: How To Add A Reusable Attribute

Gutenberg

A new blog post published by Christophe Jossart on his blog colorfield.be deals with the functionalities of Gutenberg with Drupal. The post, discusses how to add a reusable attribute to extend core or custom blocks, based on inclusion and exclusion lists.

This post is a technical continuation of the Benefits of Drupal Gutenberg for Content Editors article by colorfield. Gutenberg is an editor like CKEditor. As a page builder it might be compared to Glazed Theme page builder, HAX, Paragraphs or even Layout builder. According to the post, the main benefit of using attribute decoration is that custom blocks don't need to be created just to add an attribute. The post describes how attributes can be included or excluded from certain blocks depending on the use case.

Block cardinality limitation, validation, and translatable reusable blocks are other topics that will be discussed in future posts in this series. Read the blog post to know more.
