AI-Powered Content Translation Module Released for Drupal

AI-Powered Content Translation Module Released for Drupal

A new Drupal module, AI Content Translation, has been developed to facilitate automated translations for diverse content entities. Created by Adrian Pintilie and supported by Softescu, the module integrates OpenAI’s language models, including GPT-4, GPT-4 Turbo, and GPT-3.5 Turbo, to ensure high-quality translations while preserving meaning, tone, and formatting. Users can customize system prompts, adjust temperature settings, and activate batch processing to handle complex content structures without timeouts. The module excludes taxonomy terms and specific field types like datetime, numeric, and currency to streamline the process.

Configuration options allow users to set an OpenAI API key, select a model, modify translation styles, and manage timeouts. The enhanced UI integrates directly into Drupal’s content translation interface, enabling seamless translations from the content listing page. The latest stable release, version 1.0.4, was published on March 3, 2025. More details, installation instructions, and updates are available on the Drupal project page.
