QED42 Integrates GenAI into Drupal’s Experience Builder
QED42 recently unveiled an exciting experiment integrating Generative AI (GenAI) into Drupal’s Experience Builder, pushing the boundaries of AI-driven component assembly.
By leveraging the Starshot demo design system for Site Designer Components (SDC), the team extended Drupal’s core Experience Builder patch to enhance flexibility. They also utilized Experience Builder’s extension system to create a seamless GenAI-powered user experience. This integration allows AI-driven prompts to generate dynamic content structures, significantly accelerating layout creation.
Though still in its early proof-of-concept (PoC) stage, the project shows great promise and is set to be released as an experimental open-source module. This innovation could transform the way content and design are structured in Drupal, streamlining workflows for developers and content creators alike.
Special recognition was given to Akhil Babu and Anand Toshniwal for their contributions to this initiative.
