Teun Van Veggel Announces New Mapsemble Module for Drupal
Teun Van Veggel, founder of Mapsemble, has announced the release of a new Drupal module for Mapsemble, bringing powerful, interactive mapping capabilities directly into Drupal websites. The module is designed to give site builders and developers full control over how maps are created, styled, and updated, without the need for custom coding.

The Mapsemble Drupal module allows users to build maps from any Drupal entity, including nodes and custom entities. Cards and popups on the map are fully rendered through Drupal’s view modes, giving developers and site builders flexibility to match the visual style of their site using Drupal’s existing theming system. Changes made to content in Drupal are reflected live on the maps, ensuring that updates stay in sync automatically.
Teun emphasised that the module is aimed at making interactive maps accessible to a wider range of Drupal users, particularly those who want detailed theming control and ease of use. Layout, behaviour, and interactions are configured within the Mapsemble platform itself, while all visual rendering and data handling remain firmly within Drupal.
A live demonstration of the module is available at drupal.mapsemble.com, and a setup guide can be found on mapsemble.com/drupal. The module represents a significant step for Drupal users looking to incorporate flexible, real-time mapping features into their projects without heavy custom development.
