I really enjoy being able to grow and evolve. Not just in my role as a software engineer, but in life in general. I think this is one of the reasons that I enjoy working with technology so much. Since technology is always changing and improving over time, it gives me the chance to also keep changing and learning and improving myself over time. The experiences that I gain while working help me to be a better person outside of work and vice versa.

These ideas are also applicable in the areas where I like to volunteer my time as well. Coaching high school robotics has been an incredible challenge for me, but it has also been immensely rewarding. The same can be said of the time I've spent working on my city's planning commission where I am currently the vice-chairperson. These are both areas where I know I can make an impact and allow others the opportunity to keep learning and growing as well.
