Drupal Developer Job at EARLY PR Agency

• User experience and site architecture — Design clear navigation pathways for distinct audience segments: job seekers (youth and older adults), employers, workforce partners, and stakeholders
• Visual design — Develop visual enhancements including photography integration, custom icons, infographics, and multimedia elements that explain services and tell stories
• Meeting Management System integration — Build and maintain a dedicated, easily navigable page that connects to an external platform hosting full board and committee meetings, agendas, and participation instructions
• Youth-centered microsite or landing page — Design a youth-focused experience featuring Youth Council engagement opportunities
• Event calendar integration — Implement a fully integrated event calendar with reminders, sign-ups, and links to public meetings
• Contact and engagement tools — Build contact forms, newsletter subscription integration, social media links, stakeholder feedback surveys, and comment forms
• Accessibility and compliance — Ensure full mobile responsiveness, SEO optimization, and compliance with ADA standards and language accessibility requirements
• CMS training and editable templates — Develop staff-friendly editable templates or page builders and provide CMS training for basic updates
• Domain coordination — Collaborate with the City and project team to identify a new WDB website URL and redirect the redesigned site to the new domain

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Drupal CMS development and design experience (Drupal 9 or 10 preferred)
• Demonstrated experience building websites for government agencies, public institutions, or civic organizations
• Proficiency in responsive design, mobile-first development, and front-end languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Working knowledge of ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA compliance requirements and implementation
• Experience with third-party integrations (event calendars, newsletter platforms, survey tools, external meeting management platforms)
• Ability to deliver SEO-optimized site architecture from the ground up
• Experience building CMS templates and training non-technical staff users
• Strong visual design sensibility — this is not a pure development role; design thinking matters
