JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Build the complete custom Drupal theme (Twig + Sass + vanilla JS) using BEM + CSS custom properties
  • Develop the interactive SVG world map (D3-geo) with CMS-driven status colours and a colour-scheme toggle
  • Wire map interactions: click → Drupal AJAX → detail sidebar/modal; touch/pan/zoom + tooltips for mobile
  • Build the full design-system component library (buttons, cards, navigation/mega-menu + mobile drawer, modals, toasts, form elements, map legend) on a responsive 12-column grid
  • Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549 compliance across the front end: ARIA labels on all map paths, full keyboard navigation (Tab/Enter/Escape), screen-reader announcements, no focus traps
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, performant front-end and hit Core Web Vitals targets (LCP < 2.5s, CLS < 0.1)
  • Integrate front-end components cleanly into Drupal templates

Must-have

  • 4+ years front-end: Twig, Sass, vanilla JavaScript (no framework crutch)
  • Strong, demonstrable SVG / D3.js and data-visualisation work — portfolio evidence required
  • Hands-on WCAG 2.1 AA experience (ARIA, keyboard nav, NVDA/VoiceOver)
  • Responsive, mobile-first CSS
  • Solid Drupal theming experience; able to own the front end independently
