JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support the redesign and enhancement of the website home page.
  • Improve website search capabilities using Drupal search technologies, including Solr.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks.
  • Perform front-end development using the Drupal platform and web hosting environments.
  • Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, using Drupal as the Content Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure website content is consistent, accurate, appropriate, and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and other applicable web standards.
  • Implement and maintain service-related links to County departments and Federal, State, and Local agencies.
  • Maintain website security by regularly updating software, plugins, and themes.
  • Implement security protocols and monitor websites for vulnerabilities.
  • Apply website security best practices, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to website functionality, server configuration, and user access.
  • Work closely with IT support teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Support ongoing website improvements, enhancements, and maintenance activities as required.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Drupal Platform and Drupal CMS.
  • Experience with Drupal search engine technologies, including Solr.
  • Front-end development experience with Drupal and web hosting environments.
  • Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.
  • Experience managing website content through a Content Management System.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility compliance and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting website functionality, server configuration, and user access issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with IT support teams and external vendors.
  • Strong understanding of website security, maintenance, and vulnerability management.
