Drupal Developer Job at Sunrise Systems, Inc

• Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-level custom Drupal 10/11 modules and themes.
• Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable code using PHP, Twig, CSS, and SASS/SCSS.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces and integrate third-party web services and APIs.
• Optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL database queries and manage application workflows.
• Optimize Drupal site performance through caching strategies and performance tuning.
• Implement routine security updates, vulnerability remediation, and code audits.
• Support Drupal site architecture upgrades, content migrations, and core/contributed module maintenance. 

Accessibility, UI/UX & WCAG Compliance

• Translate Product Owner requirements into responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web layouts without relying on pre-built design specifications.
• Perform technical accessibility remediation of interactive components, web forms, dynamic views, and custom web applications.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Implement WCAG 2.2 requirements, including:
  • Accessible Authentication
  • Dragging Movements
  • Target Size (Minimum)
  • Focus Appearance
  • Consistent Help
• Enforce semantic HTML5 and proper WAI-ARIA roles, states, and attributes.
• Implement effective keyboard focus management across custom Drupal themes and templates. 

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Perform end-to-end technical and cross-browser QA testing for user stories before Product Owner review.
• Conduct accessibility testing using JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver screen readers.
• Validate website functionality using screen magnification and keyboard-only navigation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate accessibility, usability, compatibility, and functional issues.
