Senior Drupal Developer Job at PROGRESSIVE digital

• Familiarize yourself with existing Drupal projects and installations.
• Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules and themes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs.  
• Discuss requirements directly with clients in German.  
• Estimate development effort and project complexity.  
• Explain technical options, limitations, and potential risks to clients.
• Coordinate and agree on next steps with clients.
• Perform code reviews and testing to validate changes.
• Prepare and manage deployments.
• Develop rollback plans to safely revert changes if issues occur.
• Document important technical decisions and project knowledge for the development team.
• Collaborate with:
  • Design teams
  • UX teams
  • Project management
  • External development partners 

Mandatory Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on professional experience with Drupal and PHP.
• Proven experience working with existing and customized Drupal installations.
• Ability to demonstrate Drupal expertise through specific projects and clearly describe your individual contributions.
• General PHP experience or experience with other CMS platforms alone is not sufficient.
• Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to independently conduct:
  • Technical client meetings
  • Client workshops
  • Requirements discussions
  • Technical decision-making in German
• Strong written communication skills for documenting requirements and technical decisions.
• Solid experience with Git and Composer.
• Experience with:
  • Code reviews
  • Software testing
  • Deployments
• Ability to estimate development tasks and effort.
• Experience making and evaluating technical decisions. 

Additional / Preferred Skills

• Good English language skills for collaboration with development partners.
• Experience with web hosting environments.
• Experience with automated regression testing.
