Drupal Front-End Developer Job at Specbee

• Build responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Develop and maintain custom Drupal themes using Twig
• Build reusable, component-based UI using Single Directory Components (SDC) or similar component-driven approaches
• Convert Figma/design mockups into accessible, cross-browser-compatible interfaces (WCAG compliance)
• Optimize front-end performance (page load times, Core Web Vitals, asset/bundle optimization)

Backend (Supporting Focus)

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules to support front-end functionality
• Work on site building, configuration management, and content architecture (content types, Views)
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and JSON:API for front-end data consumption
• Troubleshoot, debug, and support Drupal upgrades
• Use Composer and Drush for dependency management and site operations

General

• Participate in code reviews and follow Git-based collaborative workflows (branching, PRs)
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver projects on time

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Drupal (9/10/11) development, with a strong front-end focus
• Strong hands-on JavaScript (ES6+) — not just jQuery-level scripting
• Genuine, applied experience with React or Vue.js — not certification-only knowledge
• Solid Twig theming and custom theme development from scratch
• Strong HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS a plus), responsive design, and accessibility (WCAG) skills
• Working knowledge of Drupal site building (content types, Views, configuration management)
• Basic-to-solid PHP understanding — enough to work with Drupal APIs and REST/JSON:API endpoints
• Familiarity with Composer, Drush, and Git-based workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Single Directory Components (SDC)
• Experience with decoupled/headless Drupal (React/Vue/Next.js front-end on a Drupal backend)
• Exposure to CI/CD processes and tools
• Component library experience (Storybook, PatternLab, or similar)
