Full Stack Drupal Developer Job at Sciensano

• Design and further develop the technical architecture of web applications.
• Analyze requirements and assess developments within an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Develop high-performance Drupal websites, web applications, and forms tailored to user needs.
• Manage the complete application lifecycle, from development through maintenance.
• Contribute to improving development practices, process automation, and DevOps tools.
• Ensure the quality, security, maintainability, and interoperability of developed solutions.
• Contribute to technical decisions and the continuous improvement of team methodologies.
• Work within a small team and collaborate closely with other members of the Development Department and various partners involved in Sciensano’s web projects. 

Profile / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in full-stack web development, preferably in a Drupal environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Drupal 10/11 and PHP.
• Very good knowledge of:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Vue.js
  • REST APIs
  • MySQL
  • Drush
  • Composer
  • Git
• Knowledge of the following is a plus:
  • Laravel
  • Azure DevOps
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Solr
  • Agile/SCRUM environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, accurate, and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to anticipate problems, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong interest in quality and attention to detail.  
• Very good command of one of the two national languages: Dutch or French.
• Active knowledge of the second national language is an advantage.
• Good spoken and written English skills.
• Strong interest in new technologies and motivation to develop reliable, high-performance, and sustainable digital solutions supporting Sciensano’s public health mission.
