• Custom Development: Design and develop custom modules and themes in Drupal 10/11, ensuring clean, secure code that fully complies with community standards.
• Architecture and Data: Define data models and information architecture, and manage complex data migrations from legacy systems.
• Headless and APIs: Design and integrate headless/decoupled architectures using JSON:API, REST, and Graph QL.
• Performance and Security: Optimize system performance through caching solutions such as Redis and Varnish, database tuning, and implementation of high security standards.
• Mentorship and Quality: Provide technical mentorship to the development team, conduct code reviews, and establish development guidelines and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Drupal Core APIs: In-depth knowledge of Drupal Form API, Entity API, Render API, and Plugin System.
• Development Tools: Proficiency in Composer, Drush, Git, and containerized development environments such as DDEV, Lando, and Docker.
• Databases and Search: Strong knowledge of SQL databases, including MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL, and experience integrating advanced search systems.
• High-Traffic Environments and Cloud: Ability to manage high-traffic environments and cloud or managed hosting platforms such as Acquia, Pantheon, and AWS.
• AI-Driven Development: Ability to leverage generative AI tools and AI code assistants throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), improving productivity, maintaining high code quality, and effectively auditing AI-generated code.

Experience

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of advanced Drupal development experience with Drupal 9, 10, and/or 11.
• PHP and Symfony: Strong experience with modern PHP (PHP 8+) and the Symfony architecture.
• Architecture and Integration: Experience designing data architectures, handling complex legacy-system migrations, and implementing headless/decoupled solutions using APIs.
• Performance and Scalability: Experience optimizing Drupal applications for high traffic, including caching, database tuning, and security improvements.
• Technical Leadership: Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and establishing development standards and CI/CD workflows.
