JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based websites and enterprise web applications
  • Build and customize Drupal modules, themes, content types, taxonomies, and views
  • Perform Drupal core upgrades, contributed module updates, security patches, and version migrations
  • Develop and maintain Drupal applications using PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Integrate Drupal applications with enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party services
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, and District web standards
  • Implement web security best practices consistent with organizational cybersecurity guidelines
  • Collaborate with project managers, UX designers, content strategists, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Develop technical documentation, operational runbooks, and code documentation
  • Provide Tier 3 production support and participate in deployment activities
  • Configure and administer Drupal content types, fields, vocabularies, view modes, form displays, blocks, menus, URL aliases, and redirects
  • Manage Drupal configuration using configuration export/import processes
  • Configure user roles, permissions, content moderation workflows, and access controls
  • Develop and optimize complex Drupal Views, contextual filters, exposed filters, and REST exports
  • Administer Media Library, image styles, and responsive image configurations
  • Develop and maintain Twig templates, preprocess functions, and theme implementations
  • Configure and manage JavaScript and CSS libraries using the Drupal Libraries API
  • Utilize Drush, Composer, Git, and local development environments to support application development and deployment
  • Participate in code reviews and follow Drupal coding standards and best practices

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 16+ years of experience performing specialized programming and technical development for Internet applications
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Drupal development experience with Drupal 7 and Drupal 9, 10, or 11
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Twig
  • Experience with Composer, Drush, Git, and MySQL/MariaDB
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining Drupal modules, themes, and custom applications
  • Experience integrating Drupal with enterprise systems and third-party APIs
  • Experience performing Drupal upgrades, migrations, and security patching
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience developing technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Acquia Certified Developer or Site Builder certification
  • Experience with headless or decoupled Drupal using JSON or Graph QL
  • Familiarity with Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, or AWS hosting environments
  • Experience supporting District, State, or Federal government web platforms
  • Knowledge of Dev SecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
