JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and maintain custom Drupal 10+ modules using modern APIs and best practices.
  • Design and implement secure API integrations with enterprise platforms such as:
    • Salesforce
    • Technolutions Slate
    • Workday
  • Maintain and modernize legacy PHP codebases to ensure long-term sustainability and compatibility with current architecture. 

Strategic Marketing Partnership – 25%

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director on:
    • Analytics tracking
    • GA4 events
    • Server-side tagging
  • Design author-friendly administrative interfaces, particularly using Drupal Paragraphs, to empower non-technical content managers.
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals and website performance to improve SEO and brand performance. 

Systems Maintenance & DevOps – 25%

  • Manage hosting environments such as Pantheon.
  • Maintain and manage:
    • CI/CD deployment pipelines
    • Configuration management
    • Regression testing
    • Security updates
    • Software/version upgrades
  • Serve as the primary technical troubleshooter during high-traffic institutional events. 

Documentation & Collaboration – 10%

  • Document technical implementations and API/integration patterns to ensure knowledge sharing and team redundancy.
  • Work with the Marketing Director and Web Lead during project planning.
  • Provide technical feasibility assessments for new digital initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Drupal backend development
    • API integrations
  • Knowledge of:
    • Drupal 10+ architecture
    • REST APIs
    • JSON
    • OAuth
    • Authentication workflows
  • Strong skills in:
    • Drupal
    • JavaScript
    • PHP
    • Composer
    • Git
  • Ability to explain and translate complex technical requirements to marketing stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with:
    • Drupal
    • WordPress
    • API development
  • Additional knowledge of:
    • Drupal 10+ architecture
    • REST APIs
    • JSON
    • OAuth
    • Authentication workflows
    • WordPress
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Workday
    • Technolutions Slate CRM
  • Advanced skills in:
    • Drupal and WordPress architecture
