JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design and develop modern web applications and frontends within the Drupal ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, Content, and Development teams in an international matrix organization.
  • Independently implement features and actively contribute to architecture and technology decisions.
  • Ensure software quality through:
    • Automated testing
    • CI/CD
    • Security scans
  • Analyze existing systems and continuously identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Work within agile development processes and take ownership of assigned work packages.
  • Effectively use modern AI-assisted development tools.
  • Apply Spec-Driven Development and agentic coding approaches.
  • Contribute to the further development of AI-assisted development practices within the team. 

Profile / Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of web development, particularly JavaScript and ideally React, along with Drupal.
  • Very good knowledge of:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • CSS frameworks
    • Responsive web design
    • Accessible web design
  • Experience with build tools, CI/CD, and source code management, such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Software architecture
    • Security
    • Clean Code principles
  • Confident use of AI-assisted development tools, such as Copilots and AI-powered IDEs.
  • Experience with prompting, reviewing, and validating AI-generated code.
  • Experience applying Spec-Driven Development for structured software implementation.
  • Initial practical experience with agentic coding and software agents.
  • Ability to use AI strategically to increase productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Independent, structured, and reliable approach to work.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly and understandably.
  • Good German and English language skills. 

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for Application Development (Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in web development.
