JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and maintain custom Drupal 10+ modules using modern APIs and best practices.
  • Design and implement secure API integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Slate, and Workday.
  • Maintain and modernize legacy PHP codebases for long-term sustainability and compatibility with current architecture. 

Strategic Marketing Partnership – 25%

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to leverage analytics tracking, GA4 events, and server-side tagging.
  • Design author-friendly administrative interfaces using Drupal Paragraphs for non-technical content managers.
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals and website performance to support SEO and brand performance. 

Systems Maintenance & DevOps – 25%

  • Manage hosting environments such as Pantheon.
  • Maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines and configuration management processes.
  • Perform regression testing, security updates, and version upgrades.
  • Provide primary technical troubleshooting support during high-traffic institutional events. 

Documentation & Collaboration – 10%

  • Document technical implementations, integrations, and development patterns to ensure knowledge sharing and team redundancy.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Web Lead during project planning.
  • Provide technical feasibility assessments for new digital initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Drupal backend development and API integrations. 

Required Knowledge

  • Drupal 10+ architecture.
  • REST APIs and JSON.
  • OAuth and authentication workflows. 

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Drupal, JavaScript, PHP, Composer, and Git.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear solutions for marketing stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with:
    • Drupal development.
    • WordPress development.
    • API development and integrations. 

Preferred Knowledge

  • Drupal 10+ architecture.
  • REST APIs and JSON.
  • OAuth and authentication workflows.
  • WordPress.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Workday.
  • Technolutions Slate CRM. 

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Drupal and WordPress architecture.
  • Strong JavaScript, React, and PHP skills.
  • Proficiency with Composer and Git.
  • Extensive experience with modern APIs and ETL processes.
