Design and evolve Drupal platform architectures on Ubuntu Linux, ensuring high availability, performance and resilience;
Perform advanced L3 administration, troubleshoot complex incidents and lead root‑cause analysis across Drupal, Linux, web server, caching, load balancing, search and storage layers;
Review, assess and approve Drupal modules from an operational, performance, security and maintainability perspective;
Monitor security advisories across Drupal Core, contributed modules, Linux, Apache/NGINX, Varnish, HAProxy, Solr and supporting components, prioritizing vulnerabilities and coordinating remediation;
Optimize platform performance across all layers, including Drupal runtime, web servers, caching, load balancing, search, OS, database interactions, storage and network;
Define and maintain secure operational procedures, enforcing least‑privilege access, controlled deployments and auditable change processes;
Lead major changes such as upgrades, migrations, module lifecycle updates and architecture redesigns, ensuring safe deployments and proper documentation;
Develop automation scripts and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to industrialize deployments, configuration management, cache operations, validation, health checks and rollback procedures;
Manage GitLab‑based release processes, ensuring deployments are secure, automated, repeatable and consistent across environments;
Administer Ubuntu Linux servers hosting Drupal workloads, including patching, upgrades, hardening, capacity planning and OS‑level troubleshooting;
Support disaster recovery, business continuity and platform stability through proactive monitoring, capacity management and operational governance;
Collaborate with development, Linux, database, network, security and observability teams to translate operational requirements into automated and supportable platform solutions;
Contribute to observability initiatives, supporting Grafana dashboards, Prometheus metrics, Loki logs and operational KPIs, SLOs and alerting;
Produce and maintain technical documentation (HLD/LLD, runbooks, procedures, deployment guides) and enrich internal knowledge bases.
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience in Linux platform engineering or Drupal infrastructure operations within production environments;
Strong background in Drupal platform architecture, module governance, lifecycle management and operational stability;
Experience working in multi‑customer or service‑center environments (MSP/outsourcing) is highly valued;
Advanced expertise in Ubuntu Linux, Apache/NGINX, Varnish, HAProxy, Solr and enterprise web hosting components;
Solid knowledge of HA, caching, load balancing, search, configuration management and controlled deployment strategies;
Strong skills in performance analysis, bottleneck identification, capacity monitoring and root‑cause troubleshooting across multi‑layer web platforms;
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Bash, Shell, Python, Ansible) and contribution to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab);
Knowledge of security best practices: vulnerability management, hardening, CVE assessment, auditing and compliance frameworks;
Ability to manage priorities, remain calm under pressure and perform effectively in on‑call situations;
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams;
Organized, autonomous, customer‑oriented and comfortable working in demanding, SLA‑driven environments;
Fluent English required; French or Dutch are considered a plus.
