Drupito has expanded its managed Drupal hosting service to allow developers, agencies, and organizations to bring their existing Drupal codebases to the platform. Available from November 2, 2026, the expanded hosting offering complements Drupito's existing website marketplace, giving customers two ways to launch and manage Drupal projects.

With the new hosting option, customers can deploy their own Drupal codebases on Drupito rather than starting with a marketplace website. Alternatively, they can choose a website built on a codebase maintained by another provider, with Drupito supplying the hosting infrastructure in either case.

The platform supports multiple websites running from a single codebase. Agencies can use this approach to maintain a shared technical foundation across client projects, while organizations can manage several websites using the same underlying codebase. This model allows teams to reuse their existing development work or build on a maintained foundation without commissioning a separate codebase for each website.

Hosting Plans and Pricing

Drupito's expanded hosting offering starts at an introductory price of $29 per month when billed annually, compared with the regular price of $35 per month.

Marketplace website plans are already available starting at $10 per month when billed annually, providing an alternative for customers who prefer to launch a website using an existing codebase maintained by another provider.

Hosting plans accommodate different levels of editorial activity, with allowances for the number of codebases, websites per codebase, and storage. Customers can select plans based on their project requirements.

Supporting Different Drupal Development Models

The expanded hosting service is intended to accommodate different approaches to building and maintaining Drupal websites.

Developers who already maintain their own Drupal applications can bring those codebases to Drupito for hosting. Agencies managing multiple client websites can reuse a common codebase across projects, while organizations seeking a maintained starting point can select an available marketplace website.

By combining codebase hosting with its marketplace, Drupito provides a common hosting platform for both independently maintained Drupal projects and websites built on third-party-maintained codebases.

Ashraf Abed, founder of Drupito, said:

β€œYou can bring a Drupal codebase you already maintain, or choose a marketplace website built on a codebase someone else maintains. Drupito provides the hosting in either case. We want developers, agencies, and organizations to have a practical way to run their projects and use a shared foundation across multiple websites.”

Abed, a former Technical Architect at Acquia and founder of Debug Academy, established Drupito with the aim of making Drupal more practical for projects and organizations beyond its traditional enterprise market.

The hosting expansion supports that objective by offering teams the choice between maintaining their own application foundations and using codebases maintained by others.
