We’re looking for a highly motivated front end specialist to complement our existing team. CTI Digital offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on rewarding projects, delivering high-quality solutions for an impressive range of clients.
Working alongside experienced Drupal specialists you’ll be encouraged and supported to continue your own learning and development, and whilst you’ll predominantly be working on client projects, there will still be ample opportunity for you to participate in open source, contributing to our Drupal strategy through time spent on internal product development.
Joining a team of 28 Drupal developers, including a peer group of senior developers as well as a mix of mid and junior level, means there is ample opportunity to collaborate and grow within a supportive work environment.
What will my day look like?
As a senior Drupal front end developer, you’ll work on a variety of projects across our portfolio using your expertise to capture requirements, define and implement solutions.
Drawing from a broad understanding of how digital solutions are delivered including aspects beyond the development itself, you will have ample opportunity to influence and shape the front end discipline at CTI to ensure our clients keep pace with innovation.
You’ll have advanced knowledge of Drupal's theming layer (including preprocessing, libraries and relevant APIs), a high level of experience in developing accessible and performant interfaces with modern front-end techniques and technologies.
- Devise technically feasible and efficient solutions.
- Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and budget.
- Ensure technical quality and consistency of development you produce, in terms of the key areas: Usability, Compliance and Performance.
- Be constantly improving to keep pace with new innovations and technologies.
- Guide and mentor less-experienced developers, working effectively as a team.
- Review other developers' code.
- Contribute to our processes and improvements.
What experience and skill will you have?
- Expertise in Sass, Postcss, or other CSS pre or post processors
- Expertise in Twig templating, or other similar templating languages
- Understanding of Atomic Design principles
- Good knowledge of Vue, Alpine or other JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with creating and managing component viewers/pattern libraries such as Storybook or Pattern Lab
- Experience of package and version management via Composer and npm or other package managers
- Experience using task runners such as Gulp and Grunt, and bundlers such as Webpack
- Able to articulate technical solutions to varied audiences.
