Estrella Mountain Community College

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is part of the Maricopa County Community College District, which is one of the largest community college systems in the United States. Since its establishment in 1992, EMCC has aimed to reflect the historical and cultural values of its local communities while offering engaging learning experiences for students. The college serves around 15,000 students each year and is designed to accommodate over 40,000 students in the future.

EMCC operates the SouthWest Skill Center, which provides short-term training programs that prepare students for immediate employment in skilled professions, particularly in Industrial Skills and Healthcare. Additionally, the EMCC Buckeye campus, located in downtown Buckeye, offers a range of degree programs, job training, and community education courses, making higher education accessible to the growing Southwest Valley.
