Edgeryders is a social enterprise focused on innovative consultancy practices. It utilizes advanced techniques and software to engage and leverage the collective intelligence of a diverse global community. Instead of employing full-time consultants, the company operates on an open consultancy model, which it believes offers distinct advantages over traditional consultancy approaches. Since its establishment in 2013 as a spinoff from a Council of Europe project, the company has built a community of around 3,000 individuals, including hackers, activists, and everyday people who are motivated to create positive change. The company aims to serve this community while also drawing on its collective knowledge to enhance its own initiatives.
