American Bible Society
American Bible Society collaborates with various partner organizations to provide access to Bibles for individuals in the U.S. and globally who may not have it otherwise. Their distribution efforts focus on U.S. military personnel, veterans, military families, victims of natural disasters, inmates, at-risk youth, and orphans.
The organization adapts its methods of delivering the Bible's message, offering resources in both interactive and traditional formats to cater to different audiences, from new readers to experienced theologians. As a charter member of the United Bible Societies, which includes over 140 Bible societies worldwide, American Bible Society's impact reaches beyond the U.S.
In addition to Bible distribution, American Bible Society partners with various organizations, such as Samaritan’s Purse and the Salvation Army, to address the needs of people in distress globally. Looking ahead, the organization aims to initiate translations for all languages and engage 100 million people in the U.S. with the Bible through its 100/100 vision. Currently, over 1 billion people lack a complete Bible in their native language, and there is a noted decline in Bible engagement among Americans in recent years.
