DICTU

DICTU stands for Dienst ICT Uitvoering (Service IT Implementation) and is one of the biggest IT-services within the Dutch government. DICTU is an internally independent organization part within the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.

The DICTU Webteam delivers premium Drupal websites for a diverse range of Dutch governmental organizations on a cost-benefit basis. Including high profile clients such as The House of Representatives, CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries) and RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency).

The DICTU Webteam consists of three scrumteams. We build complex websites that are secure, sustainable, accessible and in line with the governmental guidelines. We manage around 90 governmental websites, a number that is fast growing each year. DICTU stands out due to it’s ability to deliver custom projects that are tailormade for the end-user. Our UX team members know how to optimize user-experience while keeping the product within governmental guideline. We design, structure, test, improve, and innovate.

We actively contribute patches to contrib modules and themes.
We review and test contributed patches.
We actively maintain Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 modules

DICTU is one of the largest ICT service providers within the Dutch government. More than 1,600 passionate professionals work in The Hague, Assen and Zwolle with great enthusiasm and focus on the customer on IT systems that are important for the Netherlands.

We mainly support the ministries of EZK and LNV, including their implementing organizations such as the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. In addition, we also provide certain ICT services to other organizations within the national government.

DICTU focuses on developing and managing systems and applications and the associated services. These can be business management applications, websites and apps, but also digital workplaces and applications in the field of subsidies, inspections and registers. We use modern techniques and developments such as Cloud, Mobile and Big Data.

We focus on quality, reliability, continuity and information security. It is not without reason that our processes and systems comply with the international security standard ISO 27001. Dutch citizens can rest assured that the data and systems that DICTU manages will not end up in the wrong hands.

Our mission statement is: 'DICTU is a partner in policy, implementation and supervision in a digitizing society'. This refers to our role as an ICT service provider for policy departments, executive organizations and supervisory organisations.
