Mads Nørgaard

Mads Nørgaard is a Danish-born award-winning specialist and photographer.

He is a software developer, with more than 10 years of Drupal development experience. Currently working at Novicell, Mads is Drupal tech lead and senior developer.

Mads has been an administrator for multiple sites such as South African History Online, Popular Education, Cape Town Universities African Studies, Street Photography South Africa, and many other website projects/systems. He is an expert in building large online archives, optimizing databases and CMS to perform under the pressures of increased growth and interest. Both the SAHO and Popular Education website are award-winning projects.

Mads Nørgaard lived over a decade in Cape Town, South Africa, where he also specialised in documentary and portrait photography. His documentary work revolves around topics of transport and everyday life, with a particular focus on Mitchells Plain, youth culture in central Cape Town, and music events.
