I am a long time member of the Drupal community, Drupal 8/9 Core Contributor, Individual Member/Sponsor of the Drupal Association, and Member of the Committee for the Scottish Drupal Association.

I contribute to various core initiatives, including: Layouts Initiative, Media Initiative, Admin UI Initiative, Composer Initiative, and others.

Other contributions include:

• - Improvements to the core Entity API,
• - Improvements to LDAP modules,
• - Providing guidance and input on key issues relating to Drupal Core,
• - Attend and contribute to UX Team weekly meetings
• - Member of the Committee for the Scottish Drupal Association
• - Mentor at Drupal Camp Scotland
• - Encourage and drive Drupal 8 usage/adoption in my organisations

I am an experienced IT professional and software developer, specialising in Drupal 8/9 and PHP. I have a range of experience in different fields, including:

• - Software and Web Development (including using PHP frameworks, Git, local development environments, Drupal 8/9 Core Contributor, former Java developer)
• - IT and Systems Administration (including Windows and Linux Server administration, web server technology, virtualisation, network administration, and network firewall management)
• - Business and People Management (including in a volunteer capacity and leading diverse teams)
• - Presenting and Public Speaking
• - Online Video Production
• - Customer Service

I am a passionate individual, I work hard and I love the work I do, I like to find purpose and meaning from my work, and like to be able to see the value it provides to others.

I work well as part of a team, or as a leader, I like to consult with others and work as part of a multidisciplinary team, I believe working together and respecting the strengths of each individual results in better overall outcomes.

I am process driven, I tend to find areas where processes can be improved or efficiencies can be made, where routine tasks can be automated and improved upon. I've often said that one of my goals in business is to build software which can replace spreadsheets and in doing so make the lives of my colleagues and other people easier.

I am diligent and a planner, when I commit to doing something I give it my all. I like to see things through and make sure they are done well. I pride myself in the quality of the work I do, whether that be in business or software development, I like to ensure a job is completed to the highest standard.
