Carson Gross is a software developer, educator, and the creator of htmx, a JavaScript library that extends HTML with attributes for making requests and updating interfaces. He also created hyperscript and intercooler.js, and his work focuses on hypermedia-based approaches to building web applications with less client-side complexity.

Gross teaches computer science at Montana State University and is a co-author of Hypermedia Systems, which explains how hypermedia can be used as an application architecture for the web and other platforms. He also writes and speaks about programming languages, software complexity, web architecture, and the development of htmx.
