CITES

CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement aimed at ensuring that international trade in wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. It provides a framework for countries to regulate wildlife trade and protect over 40,000 species from over-exploitation through cooperation among its 185 Parties.
