Simple XML Sitemap 4.0.0 Released

Simple XML Sitemap Drupal module releases the first stable 4.0.0 branch. At the time of writing Drupal.org reports it was being actively used by 90K Drupal 8/9 websites without having any bugs. All the new features will be applicable to 4x only and the old 3x version will be deprecated. Issues or bugs in the 3x version will soon be fixed.

This new release makes greater use of Drupal’s entity API, dropping some of its very chaining API. It has a much nicer User Interface (UI) for editing, creating, and sorting sitemaps and sitemap types.

The changes of this release are mainly catered towards site builders and developers. But, for users that depend on 3rd party, contributed simple_sitemap submodules are not yet compatible with the new version.
