University Based Institute Eliminated Spam Signups Using Drupal

The National Institute for Teaching Ethics and Professionalism (NIFTEP) based at Georgia State University eliminated spam signups using Drupal. The International Forum on Teaching Legal Ethics and Professionalism website is designed as an online gathering place, resource repository, and clearing house for an international community of ethics teachers, scholars, and practitioners.

The university was observing frequent spam signups, and their limited budget made them move ahead with Drupal updates. Drupal Partners took over the project and updated the website with new features and strong security measures. As a result, the website got 100% reduced spam signups, 3X improved search result visibility, and the company performed 14 site bug fixes in the first two months.

The updates in Drupal thus made it easier for the admin to manage users on the site. The client does not have to worry much about the site and can concentrate more on teaching and enabling discussions on the forum.

The case study has been published on the drupalpartners.com website.
