Black Girls Code/VMware Presents: See It, Be It – A Black Unicorn's Journey

On March 22, 2023, Black Girls Code and VMware are coming together to host the first installment of their Monthly Speaker Series, "See It, Be It – A Black Unicorn's Journey." This exciting event will be held at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada). Gina Davis, a VMware Staff Business Solutions Strategist, and Tony Adams, a Black Girls CODE Virtual Program Manager, will host it.

The featured speaker for this event is Danielle Evans, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Honeywell Connected Enterprise. Danielle will share her inspiring story of breaking into technology and offer insight into her journey to becoming a "Black Unicorn" – a term used to describe a person of color who is a leader in the tech industry.

In addition to Danielle's story, the event will include the experiences of young ladies starting their own journeys into the tech space.

This sister circle will discuss topics such as:

How they excelled being the only woman of color in the technical workspace
Speaking up and having confidence
Importance of mentorship
Barriers and challenges
Advice and tools
