Gábor Hojtsy recently announced that Drupal 11 is scheduled for release either in the week of July 29 or the week of December 9, 2024, depending on the completion of beta requirements. This announcement comes after the development branch was opened two weeks ago, marking a significant step towards the new major version, featuring updates including Symfony 7, jQuery 4, and PHPUnit 10 or 11. 

However, challenges encountered with PHPUnit 10 have already ruled out the initial June release window, leaving two potential timelines for the Drupal 11 release. If beta requirements are completed by April 26, 2024, the community can expect the beta1 release in the week of April 29, followed by a release candidate in July and a stable release at the end of that month. Alternatively, if completion extends to September 13, Drupal 11.0.0-beta1 would be slated for the week of September 16, with a November RC1 and a stable release in December.
